Student Development a department under the division of Student Life and Services is dedicated in engaging and developing the best in our students through the development of programmes that supports learning without boundaries. As a division, we are equally committed to supporting all students in developing their academic and professional futures as well as complimenting students in their personal development journey; in evolving themselves to the fullest potential.

What Is Learning and Development?

Learning and development encompasses a broad range of activities designed to improve the capabilities of all students in SIM GE. These capabilities include not only the technical skills and knowledge people have but also their attributes, attitudes and behaviors.

What is a Learning Organization?

A learning organization is one where the environment enables people to develop their capacity to learn and to teach others. It fosters the sharing of information within a supportive and collaborative culture whereby problems are explored openly and diversity is appreciated. Reflective practice is encouraged to develop an environment that is flexible, adaptive, productive and well positioned to meet future demands.
