Taking the Next Step Forward
Prospects learned about the different pathways they can take after the O-levels.
A total of 93 attendees, consisting of prospective students and their parents, attended the ‘What’s Next After O-Level?’ event on 13 January 2018 to find out more about different pathways available for them before embarking on the next phase of their educational journey.
At the event, SIM GE staff introduced prospects to foundation programmes and a wide range of diploma courses that will set them on the path to top ranking and reputable universities in Australia, United States and the United Kingdom. The attendees were also taken on a tour around the campus and had the opportunity to visit the Financial Training Centre. There was also a sharing on different learning approaches and strategies at SIM. During programme consultation sessions, those in attendance also got their questions answered and concerns addressed. Sharing at the University of London (UOL) International Foundation Programme (IFP) programme consultation session was Muhammad Azhar Bin Mohamed Iqbal and his parents. Having recently graduated from the IFP programme, Azhar will be pursuing a Bachelor of Arts degree in Politics and Social Policy at the University of Leeds in the United Kingdom.
"I hope to share my knowledge with prospective students as I’ve been in their shoes once and many of them have come here to find out about the different pathways that they can take after the O-levels. The IFP programme is one of the pathways that I’ve taken and I’m here to share more about my experiences and how the programme has helped me to pursue my undergraduate studies with the comprehensive and diverse modules offered. It has also given me a wide choice of undergraduate programmes that I can pursue at SIM and universities abroad," said Azhar.
The next ‘What’s Next After O- Level?’ event will take place on 3 February 2018. To register, click here.
