SIM Global Education (SIM GE) Alumni Engagement came to Myanmar for the first time on 29 August 2015 and made it a memorable evening of reminiscence and family. Since kicking off its Overseas Alumni Chapter (OAC) trail in 2009, it visited more than half a dozen cities in Southeast Asia as well as North and South Asia to date.

This inaugural visit to Yangon is part of GE Alumni Engagement's continual efforts to re-connect with its global alumni and drew close to 100 alumni, industry partners and staff. Amongst those were a quartet of siblings who attained their higher education with SIM GE.

Like many, the eldest sister Tin May Oo (Class of 2008), second sister May Myat Thu (Class of 2009), her twin brother Myo Min Thu (Class of 2008) and youngest brother Phyo Min Thu (Class of 2010) realised their aspirations through SIM GE and were elated at their opportunity to renew their friendship with fellow alumni from SIM-Diploma in Management Studies, University of London and RMIT University in attendance.

Such a heartwarming evening of reunion within the SIM GE alumni family it was. Stay tuned for our upcoming interview feature with these Yangon alumni, for now catch up with the love and bliss at OAC Yangon.
