Overseas Alumni Chapter

Celebrating friendship, birthdays in Jakarta

Back in Jakarta after a one-year hiatus, the 2012 Overseas Alumni Chapter (OAC) dinner proved to be another crowd success.

Close to 90 SIM GE alumni members, as well as industry partners enjoyed an evening of food, friendship and laughter in the ballroom of Sari Pan Pacific Hotel. The highlight was a spontaneous outbreak of singing celebrating the birthdays of two alumni members.

Held for the third time in Jakarta, this OAC event was the first one organised by the local alumni. Two invited speakers, Tony Antonio, Rector, Universitas Ciputra, and Prijohandojo Kristanto, Chairman, PB Taxand, presented candid insights into their industries.

One of the birthday boys, Kenny Teguh Pribadi, UOL-SIM class of 2007, was visibly touched by the event. “This OAC dinner is such a wonderful event for everyone to meet and catch up with old school mates and SIM staff, and to make new friends. I hope we can have it every year!” says Kenny. He is a lecturer in business and management with the United International College based in Zhuhai, China.
