Private property rentals in Singapore can be high. As a SIM student, you can take advantage of the lower cost of living on campus, which will take a load off your financial worries.

Here’s a gauge of your monthly expenses in Singapore:

Upon confirmation of booking, a refundable deposit equivalent to 1 month’s rent is required. There is also a one-time non-refundable administrative fee of S$85.60 (inclusive of 7% GST).

Getting around

Shuttling between your new home on campus and classes is quick and convenient by public transport. You can also get to other parts of Singapore easily by MRT and bus.

Nearest MRT station: Clementi (5-min bus ride)

Nearest neighbourhoods: Clementi New Town, 2km (10-min bus ride); and Holland Village, 2km (10-min bus ride).

A free shuttle bus (one morning trip a day) is provided between SIM GE Campus to SIM Headquarters and SIM Management House, Monday to Friday. This service is subject to change.

Campus Tour

A tour of the hostel is conducted every Thursday at 3pm. To register, please call (65) 6248 9746 or email to study@sim.edu.sg.

As places are limited, priority is given to those who register. Please note that there will be no tours conducted on public holidays and the last Thursday of December.

From April-July 2013, there won’t be any hostel room for viewing because of full occupancy. However, visitors can still see the facilities and common rooms..

Key points to note for the tour:

There will be a fair amount of steps to climb on this tour and it is conducted mostly outdoors.

Visitors are advised to wear comfortable and light clothing as well as proper footwear to avoid any discomfort during the tour.
