Your home away from home

Launched in 2008, this very modern residence is dedicated to providing you with a holistic educational experience.

Set on sprawling grounds amid lush greenery, the size of about 6 football fields, it is a mere 10-minute ride from classes. There are 6 halls of residence with 247 fully air-conditioned rooms and 428 beds. All feature comfortably furnished rooms that offer you a convenient refuge from the stresses of daily life.

Make full use of our study and function rooms to keep up with your course work. And if you need to work off the stress of daily life, you’ll find our amply equipped gym, as well as other sports and recreation facilities very useful.

For your safety, our hostel is equipped with 24-hour campus security surveillance.

The International Students Club is a platform for the international student community at SIM GE to form friendships with fellow students and to build support networks, share common interests, enjoy special activities and simply to have fun.

There are five clusters under the ISC, each catering to an ethnic group studying at SIM:

  • Chinese Nationals Network (CNN) for the Chinese community
  • InSIM for the Indonesian community
  • MySIM for the Burmese community
  • SIMVNC for the Vietnamese community
  • IMMIX (International Minority mix) for other nationalities

Each year, an interesting array of special events promoting various international cultures are organised to help our foreign students integrate and find a niche in our local environment.

A signature event is the annual International Students Night in late-November. This event serves as a performing showcase for the ISC, and an opportunity for international students to mingle and network over dinner.

Students get help & friendship, to settle in

At SIM, we want all newly-arrived students not to suffer unnecessary anxiety and discomfort. There will be senior, experienced students who act as peers to the new students, to help and advise them in practical matters.

Both these senior students as well as SIM staff will help your child to settle in quickly, make friends and adjust to the daily class and study routine. Your child will develop into a confident, happy student who enjoys campus life and perform well in studies.
