Planning for your future?
Follow your interests
and intuition
It's every prospective student's dilemma. Which comes first – do you pick a career and then base your studies on it, or choose a course that interests you before picking your career?
While many of us may not have a specific job in mind, we usually have a general idea and this is a good starting point. To guide your decision making, consider this together with factors such as knowing your personality and passion, and research about the course and its demands.
Hear how undergraduates Kritika Jhunjhunwala (SIM-University of London) and Jamie Ng (SIM-RMIT University) charted their learning journey with SIM Global Education.

Making waves at home and regionally
For the fifth year in a row, SIM GE was the title sponsor of the Asian Windsurfing Championships. This year's 33rd SIM Singapore Open Asian Windsurfing Championships saw increased student and alumni involvement in the oldest and biggest event of the local windsurfing fraternity.
It was a proud moment too for our students and alumni organising this sporting event as it served as the Asian continental qualifiers for windsurfing at the Nanjing Youth Olympic Games later this year.
“This year's event is one of the most successfully organised and would not have been possible without SIM GE students. From sacrificing their weekends to attend sessions in race management; to meetings late into the night, our SIM Windsurfing Club showed commitment, dedication and passion for the sport. Proving that GE students can take on anything!” commented Timothy Khoo, SIM-UOL alumnus-cum-President of Windsurfing Association of Singapore.

Local beginnings for her global aspirations
SIM GE's dynamic curriculum changed Huiling's attitude towards learning. From being ‘not very studious’, she became proactive and sought to make the most of her experience at SIM GE. “In university, I think we shouldn't be spoonfed. So I liked how SIM GE lecturers gave us room to explore on our own,” she says.
Huiling, an SIM-University of London business graduate, is now an Assistant Manager, Channel Marketing & Strategic Sales Effectiveness with Coca-Cola Singapore Beverages Pte Ltd. The adaptable skill set she gained at SIM GE continues to help her stay ahead of tomorrow's challenges.
